How to Purchase or Reserve a Lot or Niche:
Our staff understand that the death of a loved one is a very stressful time and to alleviate some of that stress, a designated member of our staff will meet with you privately to assist you in making your lot selection and to answer any questions you may have.
Many people are now pre-planning and purchasing their cemetery lot(s) in advance. For pre-planning services, we ask that you contact our office to schedule an appointment.
What about Monuments?
The City of Fort Saskatchewan requires a Monument Compliance Permit be obtained prior to purchasing a monument to ensure it complies with all the Cemetery’s Bylaw requirements. It also protects the purchaser from purchasing the wrong type of monument. Once the Permit has been approved, you may then proceed with ordering your monument. Monument Compliances Permits can be obtained by contacting our office.
What about the Columbarium Niche Covers?
The City has an agreement in place with an appointed service provider to complete all inscriptions on the Columbarium’s Niche covers. A Monument Compliance Permit is required to ensure inscriptions are done in accordance with the Cemetery Bylaw.
Family Research:
Many people are researching their family tree or trying to locate someone who has been interred in the Fort Saskatchewan Cemetery. Please submit your requests in writing or call to arrange an appointment with one of our staff.
