Memorial Tree Planting
The City of Fort Saskatchewan permits the planting of trees in City Parks in memory of loved ones who have passed away. A written request including purpose and name of preferred park can be submitted to our office.
The donor is responsible for the following:
- brass memorial plaque (6” X 9”) with plexiglass cover
- 4” X 4” X 4’ pressure treated post for mounting plaque
- tree to meet specifications set by the City of Fort Saskatchewan
- cost of tree to be planted
- expenses incurred by the City of Fort Saskatchewan to plant tree
The City of Fort Saskatchewan is responsible for the following:
- purchase and delivery of tree (to be billed to applicant)
- maintenance of tree
- maintenance of plaque and post
All City tree planting is done in the autumn. All donor trees become the property of the City of Fort Saskatchewan.
Seat Dedications:

Dedicate a seat:
- As an individual, couple or family
- In the name(s) of your children, grandchildren or parents
- To mark a birthday, anniversary or other special occasion
- In the memory of a loved one
- In the name of your business or service organization
- In honor of a retiring employee
Shell Theatre seats can be dedicated for $250 or Sherritt-CEP Arena seats for $100. An engraved plate permanently affixed to the seat will bear the name provided. Donors will also receive a tax receipt for each seat dedicated.
