Vandalism

VANDALISM IS A CRIME!

The Anti-Vandalism campaign is about you and your fellow community members helping police in the fight against this crime! Vandalism impacts property values, safety, cleanliness and the image of our city.

Look around our community.

Do you see....
  • Walls covered with graffiti?
  • Knocked over trashcans or mailboxes?
  • Broken street lights or trees?
  • Spray paint on stop signs?
  • Broken public telephones?
  • Missing street and traffic signs?
  • Writing or torn pages in library books?
  • Public restrooms with broken doors or mirrors?
These are acts of vandalism.

What can I do?

Become Involved!

The Anti-Vandalism Committee, the Policing Committee, Citizens on Patrol and Crime Stoppers are standing together to reduce acts of vandalism.  It's a community issue; we need you to be involved.  Let's work together on a community solution.  Consider volunteering for one of the above mentioned committees and/or organizations.  Want to be part of the solution?  Give us a call at 780.992.6203 or 780.992.6111 or email: info@fortsask.ca

Decreasing vandalism is everyone's responsibility. Here are five suggestions:
  1. Educate yourself and others about the cost of vandalism.
  2. Become involved with groups such as Neighbourhood Watch and Citizens on Patrol or form your own neighbourhood group.
  3. Protect your house, apartment or business by using good lights and locking gates and garages.  If it happens to you, report and repair it as soon as possible.
  4. Be a positive example for children of our community.
  5. If you see anyone committing vandalism, report it to the R.C.M.P., school authorities or someone who can take action.

REPORT IT WHEN YOU SEE IT!
