We've Got Sheep Appeal!
Sheep grazing in the middle of a city is not typical - but then again, neither is Fort Saskatchewan! You can see sheep herding in action with our expert shepherd and sheep dogs throughout the summer.
A flock of 50 graze on City lands, providing a "ewe"-nique approach to keeping grass and weeds down.
The public can visit our friendly flock Thursday through Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. June 6 to September 7, 2009.
Where does our flock graze?
- In the area next to Legacy park (99 AVE and 101 ST)
- Beside the Warden's House (Visitor Information Centre - 100 AVE and 101 ST)
- In the River Valley Amphitheatre and down towards the river
